For us at Arthur one of the most important remits in its design was to create a community of contractors that were invited and recommended by landlords & property managers using the management system. A contractor that chose to make themselves available to the wider community did so in the knowledge that the landlord or property manager that invited them was already a happy customer.

Coupled with Arthur’s jobs rating system, landlords can post a work order to several contractors in the knowledge that at least one recommended contractor will be able to do the job in the time frame required.

This first come first serve principle and the feedback mechanism at the end of the job is having a positive effect on the contractor’s behaviour. This was designed to help make our role as landlords that much easier.

Help us build this community of contractors. http://www.arthuronline.co.uk

I think you got out of the rental business a little too quickly. The way to wealth in real estate is in holding rental property for the long term.

I think most investors would tell you that the they had to weather a few storms in the beginning, but you get better at being an investor with each passing year, and eventually, like Helen mentioned, your rental houses are paying for your kids’ college education.
