Washington DC, as we know is known for its famous buildings, is gradually turning itself to be a major hub of builders from across the world. Washington DC has always been generous towards different cultures as the builders from different parts of the world are free to introduce their local and national themes in the designs and it has every chance to get noticed, which rather helps in the growth of the builder at a very early stage itself. Many people today opt United States for educational purposes, especially the architects as they have ample chance to learn and explore at the cities, like Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland, New York…etc by being a student at one of the prestigious universities of the world like Ohio and Yale universities. The above statements could finger at the famous designer of United States named Maya Lin. She is a Chinese by birth and had studied at Ohio and Yale universities and now resides at New York with her husband and two children. Maya got the fame from her winning design of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, which though faced lot of criticisms from all directions in the initial stage, and today stands as one of the most renowned monuments in the United States. She has influenced the American architecture with the collaboration of Asian themes into it and is continuing her influence, as she is one of the busiest architects in the United States, and has got good number of clients as well. Thus it would have been clear as how Washington DC respects and values the architects and the designers. This is also true in the case of the home builders as well. For a has always turned to be fruitful as, something new is always accepted by the generous population of Washington DC. The builders have too much of a scope at the city as new and more constructions has become a part of Washington DC, which is on its path of further development. |
